The most innovative mast of the world.
Over the years we have tried to bring together the multitude of curves that companies offer under three large classes, namely Constant, Hard and Flex top.
In practice, the subtraction between the percentage of the curve on the top and the percentage of the curve on the bottom results in a number that defines the curve.
From the tables found on the net here is what results:
• 0-8 = Hard top
• 9-13 = Constant Curve
• 14-20 = Flex Top
Let's take for example a windsurf mast that has 63% on the base and 76% on the top. The subtraction gives 13 as a result, the mast is therefore a constant.
But even a mast with a curve of 64% on the base and 73% on the top, result 9, is considered constant. And it's a completely different mast!
To further complicate the situation, the high production tolerances to which our beloved rigs are subjected.
Even the carbon fiber has quite high tolerances, as well as the resin and all the manufacturing process that underlies the production of our carbon jewels.
With our digital instrument we have measured the curves of hundreds of masts on the market.
For each of them 7 points of bending arrow were detected, and as a result we found an average of +/- 2.5% variation on the declared curve.
In millimeter terms it means a difference of 2 to 5 mm. from mast to mast.
The various brands, the sailmakers, "play" from year to year between these curves, increasing or decreasing the bend curve and the pressure of the battens or camber, even by a few millimeters.
And the millimeters make the difference!
This is why we have studied them, positioning the Reptile Reverse perfectly among the three large classes of existing curves: with a single mast it is possible to cover the entire range of possible curves on the market.
It is also possible to improve the performance of your sail by “customizing” the profile according to your weight, style, size of the sail itself and the conditions of the wind and sea.
Furthermore, with the Reptile Reverse it is possible to modify the characteristics of your sail simply by inverting the base! Try both solutions, and choose the one that best suits your weight and your style!

HOW TO USE IT
Reptile Reverse(pat.pend.) born to simplify the windsurfer’s life in terms of time spent to find the correct mast and the correct set-up. It is the first and the only mast in the world with the reversible bottom section which creates two different bend curves depending on the side used. It also give to the sail a different power and style, if used with SIDE1 or SIDE2.
BEND CURVE
SIDE 1: if you have a sail with a constant/ flex top bend curve, the SIDE 1 is your first option. Connect the bottom section to the top section keeping the SIDE1 sticker on the bottom (where you connect the extension), and enjoy your sailing.
SIDE 2 : if you have a sail with a constant/hard top bend curve, the SIDE 2 is your first option. Connect the bottom section to the top section keeping the SIDE2 sticker on the bottom (where you connect the extension), and enjoy your sailing.
STYLE
Reptile Reverse (pat.pend.) may also get a different power to your sail:
SIDE 1: if you have a constant/hard top sail and want to have more power on the bottom and more wind released on the top section, the side 1 is our suggested option.
SIDE 2 : if you have a constant/flex top sail and want to slightly change the profile, with a flatter bottom and less wind released on the top, the SIDE 2 is our suggested option.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR POWER
With Reptile Reverse you can customize the power of your rig depending of your weight, style, sail, wind. What the pro riders make with many masts and hours spent in the water , with the Reptile Reverse it can be done with one mast in a few minutes.
