After recent quality inconsistency of the widely used black tendons, Aeron have worked with material suppliers to come up with a more superior and stable material.
Up to now the industry standard has been a poured Urethane Material – we have now made a New Standard with an injectable Urathane that has proven itself for over 12 months of testing . The nature of this material means that tendons can only be injected in clear or opaque for ultimate strength and durability.
Tendon baseplates are on the rise in windsurfing, they have been around for a long time, but most of us will use the normal diabolo’s. The advantage of the tendon is that they bend less sideways. This keeps your sail more in the middle of your windsurf board. These baseplates are often also a little less high than our old trusted diabolos, so you can make the gap between your board and sail even smaller!
